They have been specializing in ceramic sculpture, glass, modern and
contemporary art for the past twenty years as dealers, curators, appraisers and
advisors. Loveed Fine Arts offers works by many of the best established and
highly regarded artists using clay today. They have placed works in major
museums and have worked extensively with private collectors and corporate
institutions to form their collections. Loveed Fine Arts has regularly exhibited
at art fairs including SOFA/NY (since 2000) and palm beach 3.
Edward R. Roberts, chairman and founder of Loveed Corporation and Loveed Fine
Arts, was born to an artists’ family, and was married to a sculptor. He enjoyed
a broad and diversified career in the financial world and devoted his lifetime
to the promotion of artistic expression. For the past twenty-two years, he has
devoted his time to organizations that have fostered young artists in both the
visual and performing arts. This was the basis on which Loveed was founded.
A second generation art dealer, Daniel Hamparsumyan has been dealing in
contemporary ceramics for the past nineteen years. He graduated from the
University of Paris Law School and studied Art History at the Ecole du Louvre in
Paris, specializing in contemporary art. Before moving to New York in the late
eighties he sold and purchased post-war paintings and drawings at Galerie
Framond, Paris. In addition to promoting and selling ceramic works of art he
deals privately in XXth century and contemporary American and European
paintings, sculpture and works on paper.
Ronald A. Kuchta is the former director of the Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse,
NY. Prior to his two decades at the Everson, he assisted Walter P. Chrysler Jr.
in assembling one of the largest collections of Art Nouveau and Art Deco
decorative objects for the Chrysler Museum. He is also editor of American
Ceramics Magazine and a board member of Long House Reserve, East Hampton, L.I,
MOCA, New York and Watershed, North Edgecomb, Maine. As a writer and curator for
a number of publication and museums, he contributes articles regularly to
Ceramics, Art and Perception, Keramik Techni and Crafts Magazine. His curatorial
expertise and knowledge of the ceramic field has given him a rare access to the
best and most innovative ceramists from the Post-War era.
Nancy C. Roberts has been a principal of Loveed Fine Arts since its inception
twenty-two years ago. Nancy holds an M.B.A. in marketing from the Stern School
of business, attended Vassar College and holds a Bachelor's Degree in
comparative literature and history from the University of Pennsylvania. She
handles all aspects of the business and primarily develops artists' careers
through marketing and advertising. She works with publications supplying written
materials for and about artists. Before joining Loveed, Nancy worked in public
relations and advertising.
