Description: I have always had a passion for Italy and art. Therefore, importing Italian ceramics came naturally. I previously worked for a very highly respected, Fortune 500, Italian company. But, somehow my travels to Italy always lured me to find the beautiful ceramic art.

Having worked for an Italian company that manufactured and exported a top quality product, I look for the same characteristics in ceramics; beautiful, unique and of superior quality. I select Piatti's ceramic art from small pottery-making families that have passed down this ceramic tradition from generation to generation and who practice strict methods of stewardship to preserve the five centuries old craft of maiolica. I select tableware and decorative pieces that meet the highest standards of quality and authenticity.

Because I sell colorful majolica art ceramics that are direct from the studios, I feel very confident of the artistic quality, authenticity and beauty of each piece that I offer. Find a unique gift for yourself, or a special friend. We will send it anywhere in the USA or internationally with your own personal greeting. Please feel free to contact me if you are searching for a particular item not shown within the website.

Each piece of maiolica offered by Piatti Ceramic Art will vary slightly from another, as they are hand-formed on a potter's wheel and then painted by hand. The shape, design and color can vary slightly, as the pressure of the potter's hand or the flick of the painter's wrist may vary. Evidence of handcrafted work includes slight color and size variations, paint smudges, an occasional fingerprint, and looseness of lids. These are all characteristics of handmade maiolica and part of what makes them unique!
