The GMIC is a Glass Industry Trade Association dedicated to facilitating, organizing and promoting the interests and economic growth of the U.S. glass industry through education and cooperation in the areas of technology, productivity, innovation and the environment.
Members include most major glass companies and suppliers, research institutes, consulting firms and universities with interest in supporting the success of the glass indsutry and participating in that success.

Leaders and experts in these areas will share their views on these and other issues, followed by open discussion regarding possible strategic directions we can take to ensure our industry’s long term sustainability
The Glass Manufacturing Industry Council (GMIC) is a trade association of the U.S. Glass Industry that includes among its members, representatives of all four sectors: Flat, Container, Fiber and Specialty. GMIC, incorporated in September of 1998, is moving forward on a broad front to promote the interests and growth of the U.S. glass industry as a whole.
Until the formation of the GMIC, the U.S. glass industry has had no "umbrella" body to represent its interests.
