Materials of Ceramic Technology

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

ceramic2.GIFCeramic is not an inorganic material polysilicon, presenting a complex microstructure of grains and grain joints, and developed a technology called ceramic technology. The structure and microstructure are defined during the development cycle, which converts materials first mostly powdery material into a dense, ideally free from pores, and whose properties hold those of its grain but also its diversity. Phase technology in the development of ceramic is its sintering, which is the temperature cycle-time atmosphere in which the grain initially put in contact with each other through operations fitness bind as a result of action by various transport mechanisms and then acquire the microstructure sought. The generic term ceramic covers areas as diverse as that of traditional ceramic (refractories, sanitary, tiles and bricks, tiles, etc.). Or that the so-called technical ceramics: ceramics used in the nuclear fuel cycle, ceramic applications or thermomechanical ceramic electronic applications. (more…)

A tile designed to help make diet

tile21.jpgTAU Ceramica signature has appeared on the show Cevisama Valencia two tiles, intelligent, through a system of sensors to detect people and ‘helping’ the user to make diet or warn the head of his employees are spending more time in the mind off the coffee machine.
These two proposals that demonstrate “how ceramics can be much more than it usually is known in bathrooms and kitchens” and how “using adapted technologies, we can make pottery interacts with us, with our way of life and contribute to improve our health and our quality of life, “he explained to Europa Press Television director of the Innovation Projects of Tau Ceramica, Javier Portolés. The house “smart” can count on ceramic tiles that integrate other technologies (home automation, electricity, etc.).. (more…)

Paint and tiles in the kitchen

Monday, November 17th, 2008

tiles.jpgGenerally for decorating the walls of the kitchen tiles are used to protect against the prevailing moisture in them. On most occasions used tiles embossed with a valance or to avoid a total color uniformity.
